I understand your concern and would explain that your blood pressure values and heart rate are a little elevated. But this is not concerning, especially in patients which have suffered an ischemic stroke.

Did you perform a brain CT scan yesterday? As your symptoms lasted only 3 minutes, it may have been just a TIA (transitory ischemic attack).

You should know that lowering blood pressure too much can be dangerous after an ischemic stroke, because it can lead to low blood perfusion to the brain, causing a worsening of the ischemic area in the brain.

Otherwise blood pressure values up to 180mm Hg, are not concerning, because they help have an adequate blood brain perfusion.

So, your blood pressure values are not really concerning.

But, If you have any symptoms like speech disorders, limb numbness, headache, gait problems, vision problems, etc., I recommend going to the ER for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG
- a brain CT scan
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, etc.).

Further tests to be done to investigate for the possible causes underlying this TIA would be :

- a cardiac ultrasound to examine your heart function
- a Doppler ultrasound of the cervical vessels to investigate for possible athesclerotic changes in cervical arteries (especially when considering your risk factors)
- blood lipid profile for dyslipidemia
- An ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring may be needed if suspicions of a cardiac arrhythmia (paroxystic atrial fibrillation or supraventricular arrhythmia) are raised.

A TIA is sometimes an alarm sign of future stroke and all the possible underlying causes should e investigated to prevent these possible events in the future.

You may need to take an anti-platelet or anticoagulant agent (depending on the above tests results), coupled with a statin to prevent possible stroke.

I would also recommend taking an aspirin 80mg, considering the last TIA event.
