Suggest Treatment For Hemorrhoids
He can hardlly move & its randomly convusing
Hydrocodone will not be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Welcome to Health care magic.
Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain killer and will not be helpful much when you will take it orally since the hemorrhoids pain is a local pain.
Medical treatment can be done by using Lignocaine gel (brand name: Xylocaine) locally 3 to 4 times a day specially before passing stools. This will give a lot of relief in the pain. For this problem you should see a Surgeon who can examine you.
Anovate cream or ointment (combination of generics: beclomethasone dipropionate 0.025 %, phenylephrine hydrochloride 0.1 % , lidocaine hydrochloride 2.5 %) can also be a good alternative and it may be available by some other brand name in your country.
He should also take medicines to keep stools soft like syrup cremaffin plus, (combination of Generics - Magnesium Hydroxide (Milk of Magnesia), Liquid Paraffin, Sodium Picosulphate). It may be available by some other brand name in your country.
But do not take Dulcolax or purgatives which increase the urge to pass stool.
However,it would be advisable to see some local Surgeon who can examine him and If surgeon thinks there is an infection then he might require a course of antibiotics along pain killers (like Tab diclofenac or Aleve) 2 to 3 times a day for 5 to 7 days.
At present he can apply Xylociane ointment or Anovate ointment (as suggested above) for symptomatic relief from severe pain.
If still pain persists, please go to surgeon on urgent basis.
