Question: I am having heartburn that is not going away its been 4 hours, i feel lightheaded and dizzy as I am typing this. should I be concerned or go to emergency room? I did take Tums and it has not worked.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern..
See might be a symptom of heart attack.
There is no point in waiting.
I would advise you to go to Emergency Department right now and get an ECG done.
If it comes out to be normal then you would be given Pantoprazole injection. This will give you relief.
But if it comes out to be cardiac issue, you will be given emergency management.
Don't think that heartburn is only due to acidity. This can be heart attack.
Go to ER now.
