Question: When I read up on lymph nodes they say there only in your neck area, are there lymph nodes in your back? When they told me it spread I assumed it spread to tissue and they removed it. Now I'm on Chemotherapy. Also while getting my Chemotherapy for 2 hours, after about 3-5 minutes later, my body feels like its on the floor, they tell me its caused by my fybromyalgia. People read and do puzzles when they are getting there chemo, me NO WAY I'm drained while getting my Chemotherapy, yet after they take the ivy out After about 15 minutes I start getting my strength back. But I look like a Zombie

Brief Answer:
hello dear. chemo is the only way out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I understand your concern. You have a widespread disease. There are no nodes on back and it must be the disease itself.
I understand that chemotherapy is a little bit toxic but it is the only option to prolong the survival.
What your doctor can do is to decrease the dose a little bit to make it easier to tolerate the drugs.
Also you must try YOGA, relaxation exercises, drink plenty of fluids and keep busy yourself in movies, novels etc to tackle chemo more efficiently.
For pain, mild opioids analgesics can be given.
Please share your details of the disease.

I know it is a bad phase of life but you will overcome it.
Thanks and regards

Thank you so much. So just to make sure I'm explaining it correctly to family the Melanoma spread, but spread to tissue, not lymph nodes. This was back in February, they did surgery on my back to remove the cancer that spread, by the end of March I started my first Chemotherapy. I had to stop in XXXXXXX due to serious weight loss (130-98 pounds). I'm 101 now and had no choice but to go back after 6 weeks. Unfortunately not realizing it was 8 weeks which my blood work came back not so great, so they did up my Chemotherapy. They say 4 more and I should be done, I go every 2-3 weeks for 2 hours of chemo.

I promise I will not stop again. It was the weight that scared me and they wanted to put me in the hospital on a feeding tube which I declined. I can barely keep anything down, I drink ensure plus every day.
Unfortunately because of my family history I do not ask many questions at all. Any family members that have passed away is only because of cancer. But my family has questions that I'm unsure of. Like in my last question I wanted to make sure I was explaining the spread of the Melanoma on my back was tissue, which they removed threw a small surgery before starting chemo. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't saying it wrong. It's tissue they removed? Not lymph nodes

Brief Answer:
Hello. it is the tissue only. Be supportive to your family.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Please do not worry. Discuss with your family in detail and calmly. You and your family should act as supportive for each other. Spend more time with your dear ones so they feel happy.
Good luck and take care.
