Question: My wife is currently breast feeding and we have got 3 months old daughter. She has severe fungal infection on her hands, legs and face. She has been applying lullifin cream and abzorb powder, however, it hasn't worked to stop the infection. Could you please advise any oral medication or any other medication?

Thanks
She has visited to a doctor, he has prescribed to use Lullifin cream and Abzorb powder.

Brief Answer:
clotrimazole+beclomethasone cream Or clobetasone butyrate+Mconazole cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Image.

I can see a ring shaped patch in this image which is suggestive of fungal infection.

If she is breast feeding then I would only suggest a topical antifungal cream till the time she is breast feeding e.g she may use either clotrimazole 1% + beclomethasone 0.025% combination cream (clotrin - B cream) Or clobetasone butyrate 0.05% + Miconazole nitrate 2% combination cream (Eumosone - M cream), twice daily for 2-4 weeks.
Orally she might take a tablet of cpm 4 mg twice or thrice daily for symptomatic relief from itching. This is safe during lactation.
These are prescription medications and must be used under supervision and guidance of a doctor.
