Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia In An Elderly Person
Question: Hello. I am a 51 yr. old female, 5'4", aprox. 190lbs. I do have Fibromyalgia. I started experiencing something new and wasn't sure if related to Fibro. I started having the sensation like is received when 'icy-hot' or 'ben-gay' muscle cream is applied. The sensation started at the tip of my left ear, them moved down my left side. Eventually my face had the sensation. Keep in mind the sensations did not take place at the same time, but gradually moved.
Is this part of my Fibro or should I be concerned and head to my PCP?

I can understand your concern. The symptoms like abnormal sensation over ear could occur in fibromyalgia but pain and tenderness symptoms more common. If the symptoms persist and doesn't resolve by own then visit your doctor for evaluation.
Vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency could cause similar presentation. Even anxiety can cause similar symptoms. Please taln to your doctor if symptoms persist.
