Brief Answer:
The cause of the consolidation could be a bacterial infection or TB

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Most often fevers along with cough and cold are due to certain viral infections. Some children are more prone to catching cold. Tonsillar infection or enlarged tonsils increase this propensity and hence needs to be checked for. Another thing to consider here is that tuberculosis is indeed a possibility presenting with such symptoms including the consolidation and hence your doctor has done the right thing by trying to exclude TB. Please wait for a while for the reports. It would really help if you could ask your doctor to examine the tonsils. I would suggest you to upload the investigation reports using the facility on the upper right of this page and I will be in a better position to evaluate the cause.

In any case, honey in hot milk is not the cause of her problems and you can rest assured about that.
