Question: Hi ,
I have enlarged utures I'm considering hysterectomy , my doctor suggested enduced menopause shot until the time of sergury I don't like that idea I want to know what are your thoughts and side effects of those shots

Hormonal shots are given before the surgery to induce menopause for a short duration to prevent the extra blood loss before the surgery. Such shots do not have any long term side effects and remain in the body for a short time. It does increase the size of fibroids or uterus but those are eventually removed in surgery.
