Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for posting your query in HealthcareMagic,

I'm indeed glad to know that everything has come out to be normal after medical check up, apart from being diabetic;

It is common to find high blood sugar levels especially when there is a hereditary factor involved, but I would like to know your FBS, PPBS and RBS values from the report.

Getting to know them would help me to suggest further line of management accordingly.

Kindly revert back with your test results,

Regards

Brief Answer:
Required to start on medication asap.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thanks for writing back,

Your result of blood sugar seems to be quite high. Normal FBS levels ranges from 70-110 mg/dl and PPBS (post- prandial blood sugar) ranges till 140mg/dl.

Your levels seems to be quite high,
But I would like to know, is it the first time that you are diagnosed with diabetes or have you been on treatment before.

As per your present reports, you are required to be started on oral hypoglycaemics, and has to be also on a strict diet.
You can raise a diet request from your dashboard, by availing "Ask a Dietician" option and filling in your details like height, weight etc. A detailed well planned diet chart will be provided to you by our dieticians.

You are also required to engage in 30-45 mins of brisk walking, also can involve in aerobics or yoga which includes high fat breakdown.

Meanwhile, it would be worthwhile for you to get a HbA1c done, so as to monitor the control of blood sugar in your system for the past 3 months. Following which, I would suggest it best for to consult with a diabetologist in your area and start on medications asap. You can subsequently reduce the dosage as per your blood reports.

I hope this helps,

Please feel free to discuss further,

Regards
