Suggest Treatment For Dull Aching Pain In The Testicles

default
Posted on Thu, 27 Oct 2016
Question: Hello, I am 57 years old and in general good health. Exercise daily and no health issues at all.

While on vacation, I noticed dull aching pain in my right testicle that was exacerbated by bending over to lift light weights or sitting or walking for long periods of time.

The pain isn't constant, but I know it's there. No pain when I touch it.

I'm planning on visiting a walk-in clinic when I return from vacation.

I just concerned it may be testicular torsion or an infection.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
hernia?

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

your description brings inguinal hernia to my mind more than other potential diagnoses. Of course this is not diagnostic. Other causes may apply like varicocele or even infectious causes but since the symptoms are activity related the hernia scenario sounds more likely.

You'd better visit your doctor for clinical examination. You could visit either your primary care doctor or a urologist. Both should be able to guide you. If it's an inguinal hernia then a general surgeon will have to take over.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
