Suggest Treatment For Dryness On The Fingers Of Both Hands

default
Posted on Thu, 30 Mar 2017
Question: I have had a dryness mostly on my 2 thumbs, index and middle fingers on both hands. My doctor looked at it and said I'm touching something. I saw a dermatologist and he said the same thing, without taking any tests. It's been going on for at least 18 months. I have evolved putting on creams and using latex gloves even during the day to keep them from getting cracked and sensitivity with a single facial hair feeling like it's a knife. What to do?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be eczema, upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
According to your complaints it seems to be hand eczema.
It can occur due to exogenous agents like soaps, detergents, vegetables and excessive use of water and due to endogenous factors that is due to internal sensitivity of the individual.
I would recommend you to upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
To help you in finding the cause of this dryness you can get your serum IgE levels and patch tests done.

Dr Asmeet
