Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain

Question: Had diarrhea past 24 hours, both my daughter and I thinking we might have picked up something from the river this past weekend.......8pm last night this sharp pain came on in my abdomen which I thought was gas. From my belly button the pain traveled up to my breast plate, straight up the middle and as it kept climbing it became more severe and intense. I took some tums and it didn't faze it. That area is tender to the touch......when it came on it lasted a good two hour......it subsides for awhile but then the pain gets real intense again.......the past hour it's has picked up and I'm not getting any relief and I feel breathless, maybe due to panic.

I read your question and i understand your concern. it looks like you have got a stomach flu also called gastroenteritis and that is causing all this discomfort and diarrhea and abdominal pain . I would advise supportive care like BRAT diet ( Banana, rive, applesauce and toast), pomegranate juices, green tea and alot of fluids, electrolyte solutions, rehydration solutions. Take peppermint and yogurt in every meal and stay hydrated. Take some pepto or imodium for the pain. Wait and see . The symptoms will subside in a day or two .
