Thanks for your query.

I would recommend stopping Effexor. Both Effexor and Lexapro work through same mechanism. This can lead to over load on the particular mechanism and cause serious problems. Hence, stopping one would be good and safe now.

Lexapro can result in withdrawal symptoms on stopping, hence you can stop Effexor for now over a period of 5 days. 3 days on half the dose you are on now and next two days on quarter the dose. This will get you off the drug safe and the load of antidepressants will also get lessened.
