Brief Answer:
It does not mean you need to take them life long

Detailed Answer:
Dear Rathore,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description it appears that you were taking unsupervised treatment as no psychiatrist stops Escitalopram first before clonazepam.

I like to inform you that depression is common problem and with right treatment there is good chance of recovery. For the second episode of depression you need to take medication for at least two years as per standard guidelines. If you continue to have unregulated treatment there is possibility of increase in duration of problem.

I understand your concern about dependence but fortunately no antidepressant causes dependence.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
You need to consult psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

There are almost 30 antidepressants in XXXXXXX market and elsewhere but none of them should be used without medical supervision. If somebody takes unsupervised treatment there is risk of more harm than any benefit.

In my view you should visit a psychiatrist in proper way and should not risk your life.

I hope this clarifies further.
Thanks and regards.
