Brief Answer:
Do you vomit or are you unable to swallow? What is the resistance?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Dehydration is mostly caused by inability to swallow or to retain fluids. I will like to know whether the problem is inability to drink or you are unable to keep fluids down.

If the problem is inability to swallow, then you need to be followed up in a hospital and managed with intravenous fluids until you can again take full control of swallowing. If the problem is vomiting, then we can provide a medication to stop vomiting to be taken 15-30minutes before eating. This way, we would ensure that you stay healthy and not dehydrated.

Besides, have you been able to urinate? How often and in how much volumes? is your mouth and lips dry? Are you feeling dizzy?

I hope to hear from you so as to make a more informed and detailed personalized response to address your worries.
