Brief Answer:
Dengue fever

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Itching in Dengue fever is usually due to cholestasis consequent to pseudo-thickening or edema of gall bladder wall . She should undergo liver function tests like serum bilirubin and SGOT,SGPT .If these tests results are high ,Ursodeoxycholic acid is prescribed.
Itching can be decreased with the administration of antipruritic drugs such as levocetirizine or Hydroxyzine. Has she developed any rash?
