Suggest Treatment For Dark Red Spots On Scrotum

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Sep 2015
Question: Hi,
I have these dark red spots on my scrotum and they have been developing over a year. When agitated they start bleeding but there's absolutely no pain. I recently went to a dermat who recommended clindamycin cream and erythromycin tablet. He told me it was probably an infection developed by the irritation of hair follicles in the area. I was skeptical since I thought it was angiokeratoma but I tried his prescriptions which hasn't worked in a week now. I have no history of any skin issues or any allergies. I am 24 years old and have no penetrative sexual experience. Kindly help

Brief Answer:
Angiokeratoma is most likely possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I have read your query. I have seen the attached photographs also. I understand your concern.
As per details, the most likely possibility for the description you have given is a condition of skin called Angiokeratoma. These are vascular structures which may bleed on manipulation. These can be single
Or multiple in number. Angiokeratoma are usually asymptomatic and have long history most of the times. The positive part of this entity is that these are harmless and can be left as such without any treatment.
In case of any pain or other symptoms you may get them removed by Laser or Radiofrequency. Although the chances of recurrence of Angiokeratoma are very high.
I hope I am able to solve your query. If you have any further query, you may ask me. Stay healthy.
