Suggest Treatment For Colitis And Arthritis

Question: mom is 88 and has colitis . She takes meds for blood pressure, heart , gout, pain, arthritis. This diarrhea she has has been going on for 2.5 weeks. She was given a perscription that did not help. She took ammonium AD and seems to help some. Any suggestions? She is afraid to go to doctor and hospital again. She does not want to have public accident.

Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

She possibly seen to have infection related diarrhea.

At this point, it's important to get stool culture and sensitivity testing to determine the right choice of antibiotic.

It's therefore mandatory to get this test.

Empirical antibiotic should be started only after giving the stool sample for culture and sensitivity testing.

I generally prescribe oral pills of ORNI O to my patient for such symptoms.

Taking Aluminum AD alone does not always help.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills and tests to you.
