Suggest Treatment For Cold, Heavy Cough And Difficulty Breathing

Question: Hello Dr.

My son who is of 5 months and 19 days today. Now he is suffering from throat problem.. can't create big voice as intially he was..
Reasons could be:
last week he got COLD and heavy caugh and when we reach hospital and were inn the queue for around 2 Hrs.. in that time around more than 1 Hr he was crying with full voice.. and next day found that he can not make his full voice.

I am worried about if there is any sever problem to his throat or somthing else..
Please advise what need to be done to recover his voice.

May be due to viral infection.

Thanks for the query.

It looks like viral infection or vocal cord may be swollen due to loud noise. It is common in this age group.

You can try symptomatic treatment for cough and cold like ascoril-ls drops and sinarest drops.
Voice will be clear in 2 to 3 days.
Nebulisation if required.
