Question: My mother is 73 yrs old she have cold and wheezing i admitted in hospital and now the lab report shows ESR 120, RBS 286,Hb 12. what may be the reason the asked me to go for CT chest and abdomen

I can understand your concern.I have gone through the reports you have attached.
She is having diabetes and dyslipidemia.
Usually CT scan of chest and abdomen are required when there is any doubt in chest x ray or in ultrasound abdomen or patient is constantly complaining about chest and abdomen symptoms with normal reports.
So please let me know
1. Is she a known case of diabetes?
2. Is chest x ray and ultrasound abdomen done?
