default
Posted on Tue, 25 Oct 2016
Question: I have had upper right abdominal pain for 2 months. Also chronic indigestion, intermittent nausea, and low grade back pain. CAT scan, Ultrasound, HIDA scan, EGD and blood work have all been normal. Do you have any thoughts on what I should do at this point?

Brief Answer:
It could be acid peptic disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it looks like Acid peptic disease.
I prefer Rabeprazole 20mg twice daily along with Domperidone capsules instead of famotidine.I will also add tablet containing Dicyclomine to my patients.
Avoid spicy food.
Take frequent small feeds.
Avoid pain killers containing Diclofenac sodium.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Please consult your doctor and get appropriate prescription.
Wish you good health.
Regards
