Brief Answer:
Possibility of allergic cough is more in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
So you are having cough at night.
This might be the cause for your sleepless nights.
Since you are not having stress and having controlled migraine, psychological causes are less likely.
You are having allergies. And you are having severe coughing at night only.
Allergic cough usually precipitate at night. So possibility of allergic cough induced sleeping disturbance is more in your case.
So please let me know
1. Are you taking anything for cough or allergies?
2. Are you having dry cough or cough with expectoration?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

I have no allergies like pollen, grass ( etc ). The cough is with expectoration, and I'm not taking anything for the cough. I really didn't have one until the Upper Respiratory Infection.

Brief Answer:
Better to take cough suppressant drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should definitely take treatment for upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
Uncontrolled URTI can cause coughing and disturbance in sleep.
So better to start broad spectrum antibiotic like levofloxacin.
Also start antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs.
Drink plenty of fluids orally. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
Antihistamine drugs can cause sedation. This will help you in cough suppression and sleep.
Hope I have solved your query.
