default
Posted on Fri, 5 Jun 2015
Question: I have bursitis in my left hip and am in physical therapy for it. My second appointment was yesterday. Part of what she does is massage my hip and uses a roller over my thigh - left side and top. It hurts when she does this. Last week there were no lingering pain after the roller was used. But after yesterday my thigh is in pain. It hurts to touch it. Most of the time it feels like dull pain but I just started getting sudden pain in the left part of the thigh. It feels like something is pulsating and it comes with a shot of pain. 3 questions. Whst is this pain? Should i worry about it? And what can i do about it?

Brief Answer:
Not to worry but need a concern

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thank you for asking to health care magic

1)This maybe due to worsening of bursitis

Bursitis(inflammation of the joint sac) is common after 50's..

2)Not to much worry but to be concerned bit

3)As you have been getting such painful episodes even after physiotherapy,i suggest you consult a neurologist for the best of your health ..MRI hip region would be of great help..
