Question: I accidentally burned the tip of my finger - about one inch. It's white and blistering and hurts very much even though i took 2 advil and put a burn/pain relieving spray on it. Is there anything else that I can do?

Brief Answer:
Try ice packs and add tylenol!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this burn that you have sustained. Pain medications are in classified in various levels . Advil and tylenol are all weak individually and belong to the first level of pain killers. A combination would make them more potent at controlling pain than when taken singly. I will recommend that you add tylenol to this treatment plan. Take 1g every 6hours. Physical measures like applying ice packs to the burnt area would also prove helpful. Remember to eat well during this time as advil is aggressive to the stomach wall and can cause gastritis and stomach pain and bleeding.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our service and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
