Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation On Penis Tip

Posted on Wed, 1 Oct 2014
Question: Hello. I am a 41 year old male. Never had an STD before. About 6 to 7 weeks ago I got a massage. The masseuse and I were fully naked. No oral, vaginal or anal sex. However, she did rub her genitals against mine in a couple of occasions. I separated from my partner 2 years ago and have not had sex since. All I have had over the last 2 years is 5 or 6 encounters similar to the one I described above. I got tested for STD's last November and I was clear. I got tested for STD's this morning gain. I am a bit on the OCD side and since I have had a slight burning sensation at the tip of my penis over the last few days I am now going out of my mind that I have an STD. The burning sensation actually gets better while I urinate. I have no lesions, sores, discharge, fever or anything else. Please tell me what are the chances I have an STD. Specifically Chlamydia or Gonorrhea.

Brief Answer:
STD unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Healthcare Magic

As you are not having any discharge, rashes, itching and fever presence of STD is very unlikely.

The burning sensation is may be due to urinary tract infection(UTI), you need to undergo lab investigation like routine urine examination to confirm the diagnosis of UTI.

If there is presence of pus cells in the urine you may require a course of antibiotics to treat your condition.

I would suggest you to drink plenty of fluids to reduce the symptoms of burning sensation.
Thank you.

One follow up question. If someone does have ghonorrea or chamydia and discharge from the penis is present. How often is the discharge? Is it fairly continuous? Thank you.
