Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such feeling can be caused by an inflammation of the esophagus due to GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disease). You should have acid reflux symptoms like acidity in the mouth, cough, nausea. IF any of this symptoms is also present, GERD is possible. Gaviscon or water intake should make this symptom to go away for a short time (like for few seconds).
Such blockage can also appear due to stress. Especially if you have had any stress recently.
I suggest you to start with diet improvement and Omeprasole 20 mgs intake (should be prescribed by your doctor). Try to avoid any coffee, fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol, chocolate. If this wont help in few days, please consult your doctor.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
