Suggest Treatment For Blisters On The Left Side Of Penis

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Nov 2016
Question: This is a little embarrassing, but I have to ask. A few days ago, I noticed a blister (or skin tear ) on the left side my penis. A week before that, I had bleeding from the area due to self manipulation. The bleeding was quite substantial and the tear was very painful. Also from the time that this happened till the time I noticed the blister, I had protected sex, so I am not completely sure if this a skin tear or herpes. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It can be most likely due to injury or hairfollicle inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Herpes usually won't come as a single rash. Syphilitic chancre will be pain less also. So these things are most unlikely and your problem can be most likely due to friction injury or hair follicle inflammation. If you send a picture of the affected area then it will be more helpful. If you had sex with a risky partner then better to run STD panel tests to be on safe side.
Using povidone iodine ointment for local application will be helpful for this. Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area and instead you can use warm water or saline.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

I have gone through your pictures. It looks like friction injury. Using povidone iodine or Neosporin triple antibiotic cream for local application will be helpful for this.
