Brief Answer:
Mood stabilisers along with low dose antipsychotics are used

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

Bipolar disorder with mixed features includes both depressive and manic symptoms. In such disorders mood stabilisers along with some drug that can help in depression are used. Commonly used antidepressants like SSRIs or SNRIs carry the risk to cause manic switch so should be avoided.

Mood stabilisers as Sodium Valproate, Lithium Carbonate, Carbamazepine etc can be used. Low dose anti psychotics as Risperidone, Olanzapine, Quetiapine etc also work as mood stabilisers. For control of depression in bipolar disorders drugs like Lamotrigine has great efficacy.

The medicines you are taking are Valproate, Risperidone and Lamotrigine. In my opinion this is the right prescription for the symptoms you have mentioned.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

Take care
