Question: my wifes temp is 96.5, (she has a complaint of feeling "freezing cold"). her pulse was 56 beats per minute at last check and her blood pressure is 96/58. In the past, (about 10 yrs ago) was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. She doesn't want to go to the e.r. but I'm thinking she should, what is your advice and what could be causing her symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Do attend an ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Your wife has a low blood pressure and a low pulse rate. This can be related to a cardiac problem or due to overdose of metoprolol that she is taking. It can happen due to hypothermia, thyroid problem or a metabolic disorder also. She needs a careful evaluation and monitoring under the guidance of a physician. It is best to attend an ER and get her evaluated.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
