Suggest Treatment For Antibiotic-induced Diarrhea
Question: Hello Doctor, 4-5 days back, i took Antibiotic Aziphel 500 for throat infection, since then stomach is upset. After lunch or dinner, have to go to washroom. Loose motion is not acute but its there since last 5 days. May be 2-3 times a day. Late night had little milk with horlicks. After that since midnight to morning had 2 loose motions. Should I take Ridol or O2 or Nflox tz. Since morning, i didnt have any loose motion. I feel its just stomach infection. Please advise

This is a self limiting infection. However, you may take Probiotic containing Lactobacillus like capsule Vizylac or Darolac for 2-3 days.

Hello Doctor, as suggested by you, took Vizylac for 3 days, 2 capsules a day. But was still having loose stool in the morning. Have started O2 from this morning. Taken 2 tablets today, 1 in the morning & 1 after dinner. After dinner I had 2 loose motions even after taking O2. Please suggest should I continue O2? Though I am not having too severe looose motions but now being troubled with this 1 or 2 loose motions since last 10 days. I am taking precautions in eating as well & having really light food since so many days like khichdi etc. Please advise

Just continue with Pro biotics like Vizylac .

Thank you Doctor. I stopped O2 & started Vizylac again. Just some queries:
1) As you advised to avoid dairy products, does it include dahi & butter milk as well.
2) Can I eat anything besides dairy products like non veg etc. Should I take normal diet
3) Can I go to Jym & dance classes.
4) Can I take my Nutrilte daily vitamin supplement capsule.
5) If needed can we take Vizylac for a week.
Pls advise
