Question: Hi, my 15 month old toddler had fissures. We took him to a doctor last week and they said that the fissure looked healed. I still see some sort of skin tag at the end of the anus. What is this?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking.

You are reporting that your baby had anal fissure, healed for the moment. After that you are describing something like skin tagged at the end of the anus. To my opinion it may be due to :
- fissure healing process is not finished
- sphincter damage due to constipation
- fibrotic tissue after healing process

Otherwise to give an accurate opinion I need to see the anal area. Please can you upload a photo of anal area so I can check it by myself.
Meantime I suggest to avoid constipation by:
-increasing water intake
-using soups with vegetables
-using stool softeners(duphalac) if he still have constipation.

Wish him fast recovery and good health.
