Question: Each month as my period is approaching, My face starts to break out in pimples. Im living in Dubai so with the heat and the water here it doesn't help matters. This happens a few days before my period starts then during and by the time they heal i have only a week before it all starts again. How can i control this? I'm eating healthily and consuming plenty of water. At the moment im using Doxylag 100 mg from the pharmacy, Its only been one week.. But im not sure if this is a long term solution.

Brief Answer:
Treatment of acne

Detailed Answer:
HI XXXXXXX
There may be two reasons for acne. Hormonal imbalance caused during menstrual cycle. Or polycystic ovaries. If your periods are normal and regular, then the acne Is most likely due to the prior reason. Treatments include:
1.Keep the skin dry and clean by using a foaming , anti acne face wash.
2.Topical treatments like isoretinoin or benzoyl peroxide can help.
3. Prescription antibiotics may be required in deep seated acne like erythromycin/tetracyclines.

Drink plenty of water. Avoid oily, spicy food.
