Brief Answer:
Apply Mupirocin ointment on the cut please

Detailed Answer:
Hi... nothing to worry. Please apply Mupirocin ointment on the cut, thrice a day for 5 days.

If in 2-3 days - if there is pus formation or redness or swelling increases, then you need to consult your pediatrician.

Does she need tetanus vaccination?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sumanth Amperayani (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
No, she would have received the tetanus caccine in the DPT vaccine

Detailed Answer:
Hi...no as an infant she should have received the 1.5 months and 2.5 months DPT vaccine know, in that there will be TT and it is not required separately.

So you need not put TT vaccine.

If you are really worried about the injury, please upload an image of the injury here in this website and I will see and get back to you.

Brief Answer:
Just keep the area - clean wash with soap and water

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I have seen the image. This injury does not require any ointment to be applied there. Please keep it clean with soap and water. That is enough to prevent the infection.

No need to use sofradex ointment also.
