Suggest Treatment For A Bug Bite

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Aug 2016
Question: I live in an expensive apartment, Have heard that bed bugs have no social preferences. The management here will do nothing but pay a guy to "evaluate", tell us we do not have roaches, bed bugs or termites. I am 73 yrs old and simply cannot taake the place apart--hace already tossed my foam topper which covered my hospital bed and put plastic which covers the mattress and then zips. Am disabled and cannot clean everything. I have always kept an immaculate house and this has stressed so badly that I have lost 30 lbs. Do you think a bomb would work? these little things are eating me up!

Brief Answer:
Better to see a skin specialist followed by psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I am sorry to know that things are not in proper way for you in housing.

Rather than thinking something extreme I think it will be appropriate to see a skin specialist. If he finds some lesions of bite by termites it can be treated in appropriate manner.

If he finds no lesions or any features suggestive of termite bite or bed bug bite it will be appropriate to see a psychiatrist to rule out delusional parasitosis. I understand it is difficult to accept such diagnosis but if other things are normal we need to think out of box.

I hope this helps you.
If you haver more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
