Question: Hello. I'm XXXXXXX 60 years old, and have COPD. I accidently ate three XXXXXXX Captain's Wafers Jalapeño Cheddar Crackers (23 days past the Guaranteed Freshness Date of XXXXXXX 21, 2017). They tasted of a strong oily flavor but were the same color as fresh ones. I ate the crackers about 1 hour ago. Should I worry about food poisoning? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry much.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since color was not changed, no need to worry much about food poisoning.
If you develop any of the following symptoms then consult doctor for food poisoning.
1. Diarrhoea
2. Vomiting
3. Abdominal pain
If you are not having these symptoms in next 24 hours then no need to worry for food poisoning.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

i have oral crohn's disease and blood test diagnosed coeliac disease, also pre-disposed to diabetes. I suffer from chronic constipation and bloating. Been taking normafibe regularly once a day, heaped 5ml measure spoon, took normacol last nite, been going a bit but still blocked, although did have bad abdominal pain this morning after breakfast, was also taking antibiotics which i have now ceased to take. Unsure whether to take another dose of normacol, or not to work it through more, or just normafibe which may not do anything and just block me.

Two years ago, I was successfully treated for a bleeding peptic ulcer. While I was suffering from it, it seemed constipation made the pain worse. Now my ulcer is healed, but I am constipated if I don't take Correctol once a week. After so much pain with the ulcer, I have become food phobic, and eaten only yogurt and Ensure since July, 2009. Please advise if once a week bowel movements are ok, and how to overcome the need for Correctoal without feeling constipated. (Since childhood, I've had one BM a week). My gastroenterologist did two colonoscopies (they were normal) and four EGD's. He laughingly said I have a tough colon (I guess meaning it's convoluted). Please help me to eat normally and have regular bathroom habits naturally.

Thanks,

Ginny
