Suggest Remedy For Tingling On Feet And Muscle Twitching On Calves

default
Posted on Tue, 2 Dec 2014
Question: For the last two years I have had tingling in both my feet along with muscle twitching in both my calves. A brain MRI with contrast came back negative. More recently, I have tingling in my tongue. I have pasted out twice at work (I am a teacher) and feel dizzy at least two or three times a day. I have pain in my knee joints, and have been cleared of rheumatoid and lupus. My doctor thinks it is anxiety and I strongly disagree. If anything, the anxiety would be from being sick for over two years with no answers. I refuse to take medication for the tingling or other symptoms without having a diagnoses. I have low blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat.

Brief Answer:
I have a few conditions your doctor should rule out

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I understand that you feel frustrated as your doctors have not been able to reach a diagnosis yet, but please do understand that at times certain patients do not present with straight forward symptoms making a diagnosis difficult.

But based on your presentation, I do have a few possible scenarios:

-Vitamin B12 deficiency
-Vitamind D deficiency
-Thyroid abnormalities
-Diabetes
-Spinal cord injuries
-Few sexually transmitted injuries
-Amyloidosis
-A few systemic conditions (e.g. Raynaud's disease)
and a few others.

I would request you to take the above listed conditions up with your doctor and effectively rule them out, which will certainly help to narrow down our search to find the diagnosis.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
