Question: hi the back top of my left ear pinna has been slightly swollen for 3 weeks. it does not hurt to touch. and I have not had any kind of discharge from it. sometimes it is a little itchy. could this be somekind of eczema or dermatitis ?

hi do doctors ever use local anasthectic on patients ears in the doctors surgery if they need to do any treatment to the ear?

If it's a minor surgery involving only skin topical anaesthesia creams can be used and for deeper tissue injectable anaesthesia is used.

hi went to my doctor today. and they said nothing to worry about. just a slight bit of eczema. or a mild skin irritation. the redness is going now and it.s not quite so itch either.
