Brief Answer:
Need to rule out early heart failure

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concern.

It is very important to evaluate pedal edema in your case, especially when you are taking treatment for hypertension.

This may be an early harbinger of heart failure.

For this, I advise you to get a 2D echocardiogram of the heart at the earliest.

Further management, if any is based on the test reports.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

I did do a EKG and stress test, all was well.
That's when I got diagnosed with a
Sleep Apnea.
I do have a machine to help that.
When I wear a socks it makes it worse.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Echo is more sensitive to evaluate the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Echocardiogram is more a valuable tool to assess the functional status of the heart.

This will detect heart failure at the earliest.

In presence of coexisting sleep apnea 2D echo is mandatory.

EKG and stress test are not sensitive enough to identify the cause of pedal edema.

Hence the specific therapy is based on test results.
