Brief Answer:
Could be soft tissue/tendon damage
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the answers. I have gone through them. I would suggest you to get MRI-Ankle joint done. It will outline bony as well as soft tissue component. It will tell if there is any tendon damage which has resulted pain for such a long time. Take report to an orthopedic surgeon for correlation. Meanwhile following measures will help to reduce the intensity:
- Naproxen thrice a day for 3 days
- apply ibuprofen gel thrice a day for 5 days.
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and place it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
