Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.Lyrica (pregabalin) is an anti-epileptic drug, also called an anticonvulsant. It works by slowing down impulses in the brain that cause seizures. Lyrica also affects chemicals in the brain that send pain signals across the nervous system. So as such it is not analgesic (Pain killer ) but it is used as pain killer in neuralgic pain. Lyrica is used to control seizures and to treat fibromyalgia. It is also used to treat pain caused by nerve damage in people with diabetes and neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury. As your doctor prescribed this so he may be thinking that pain is neurogenic origin.
You need analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. If pain is severe (not relieved by ibuprofen) then tramadol can be suitable analgesic for you. As you are having sleep disturbances so alprazolam at night time will be useful. I will also advise vitamin D supplements specially if you are having vitamin D deficiency. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
