Brief Answer:
TRUS+ Serum PSA is indicated for ruling out significant prostate pathology

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

I case if the pain has not resolved with Complete course of Hetrazan 100mg,I advise you to have a complete scan of pelvic organs through TRUS/transrectal ultrasonography along with Serum PSA levels.

This can accurately diagnose any latent prostate pathology like prostate infection.
In many cases of filarial epididymo orchitis, pain still persists in spite of clearance of infection.

You need not start hetrazan again as the infection will be resolved with this drug regimen.

Further management will depend on the test results.

In Case if these results has nothing significant, all you need is simple reassurance.

Meanwhile analgesics like Flexon can be used for 3 days under your doctor's prescription.

Thank you.
