Suggest Remedy For Persistent Fatigue, Nausea And Vomiting

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Dec 2015
Question: I thought I would try to give this a shot. I have been to my doctor and am not too pleased. A couple months ago these symptoms started. Feeling nauseous (more so in mornings BUT NOT just in the morning. I vomited nearly every day, occasionally (semi frequently) I will get way too hot and or way too cold. It never seems to be a happy medium. Extreme fatigue. Well the doctors sent me home with some prilosec. I have been taking it for a month now ish. Things seemed to be SLIGHTLY improving, well a couple days ago I had a boutique of food poisoning or something? Well it has completely re-triggered every symptom from before. I am afraid to eat, I drink fluids and they come back most of the time. I just want to get some more advice if possible. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
IBS , Gastritis etc.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. YOur doctor was considering gastric discomfort like gastritis / acid reflux as the likely cause of the symptoms so he gave proton pump inhibitors a shot. He may be right but symptoms for months, nausea vomiting should always be worked up for any underlying cause like gallbladder stones, pancreas inflammation or any other bowel pathology.

In women irritable bowel syndrome is the commonest cause of such discomfort and should be considered . Modify diet and lifestyle, eat small frequent meals, avoid triggers like caffeine, soda, alcohol, coffee, spices, fatty foods, dairy products, canned and processed foods. Use natural foods, fibrous foods and take at least 2 to 3 litre of fluid in a day. Eat yogurt and use peppermint, former is best probiotic and later is best anti spasmodic. Continue the use of prilosec for a few more weeks with supplement therapies like pepto, ginger garlic etc and see if it helps. If the symptoms persist get evaluated for a cause, let your doctor run some labs and see what comes up.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
