Brief Answer:
Meftal P is more effective than T98

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Most often fevers in children are viral in origin. I would need to ask whether associated symptoms like cough are present. You have done the right thing in giving T98 Drops (contains Acetaminophen/ Paracetamol 100 mg per ml) but it needs to be given only if temperature is above 100°F. If fever still does not get controlled, you would need to use Meftal P syrup. It contains Mefenamic acid which is more effective than Acetaminophen/ Paracetamol can can be given at a minimum interval of 6-8 hours (irrespective of the dose of T98). But it is a prescription medication and you might need to get it prescribed by your doctor. The dose of mefenamic acid is 5 mg/kg/dose and each 5 ml of the syrup contains 50 mg.

Tepid sponging needs to be given alongside to reduce the temperature.

Hope that helps.

Regards
