Suggest Remedy For Fever, Chills, Body Pains And Headache

Question: hi, my daughter came home from camp on friday...since then she has been very tired (expected) and yesterday she had a low low fever..99.1 Right now it is at 102.4. She feels warm but is chilly, very achy and has a horrible headache...I gave her three rounds of advil and the fever keeps climbing...she is asleep right now. thoughts on what to do?

Hello

I can understand your concern.
The fever and headache may be due to some viral infection or due to some malaria or other infection.
I viral infection fever starts declining after 2-3 days.
Fever with chills and headache with recent history of camping also may be due to malaria.
In case of malaria she will need antimalarial medication.
I would suggest you to continue giving advil.Do tepid sponging.Monitor the temperature so that we can assess the trend of fever.
Get her evaluated by a physician and get malaria test done.
