Suggest Remedy For Excessive Perspiration On Chest, Upper Legs And Buttocks

default
Posted on Wed, 14 Oct 2015
Question: About 10 yrs. ago I had a surgery for hyperhydrosis, excessive sweating of my hands & feet. No more sweating of my hands, yes my feet still, and my lower back like I was told I would have on my lower back. This past month I have had excessive perspiration on my chest, back, back of my upper legs and buttocks. Is there something out of balance ? I am not nervous. I purchased an herb over the internet that was to help the sweating, I tried it for 3 weeks, disappointment it didn't help. I appreciate your advice.

Brief Answer:
Sweating

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about your sweating problem.

Indeed, it can be frustrating, particularly when no cause is found.

The few endocrine/hormone related conditions that cause sweating are :

1 Over active thyroid

A simple non-fasting blood test called TSH will help diagnose this problem.

2 Acromegaly
Another random blood test for IGF1 rules out this condition in most cases

3 Pheochromocytoma

A blood test called Plasma free metanephrines are useful in ruling out this condition.

4 Menopausal symptoms
These can occur at any age, although very uncommon to start at your age

5 Low blood glucoses
These typically occur on individuals with diabetes on glucose lowering medication. I see you are on none.
