Suggest Remedy For Dry Eyes
Question: Hello Doctor,
I recently visited Vasan Eye Care to get my eye checked because I feel heavy eye after I wake up in the morning. The Dr. told me that I have problem of DRY EYE because of my prolonged work in computers.
Thus, she recommended me an eye drop named SYSTANE ULTRA EYE DROPS 10ML. I did not buy this medicine yet as I find this medicine RELLY ENPENSIVE.
I am writing you to get another eye drops name which is cheaper and similar to SYSTANE ULTRA EYE DROPS 10ML.
Rs. 340.00 for 10ML of eye drop that too 4-5 times a day for 5 months would cost me a lot of money.

SYSTANE ULTRA eye drops is artificial tears eye drops. You can use similar but not very expensive eye drops like LUBREX eye drops.
The dryness caused by constant exposure to computers is called as computer vision syndrome.
Along with the use of artificial tears eye drops you need to take few precautions as below and I hope these will be helpful to you.
1. Avoid continuous exposure to computer screen by taking frequent breaks, a break of about 5 minutes after working for 2 continuous hours will be helpful.
2. Use of antiglare coated screen for computer or use of antiglare coated glasses will be helpful.
3. Wash your eyes atleast two times a day with normal water.
4. Avoid exposure to dust, smoke, wind....
5. Avoid excessive use of fan or air conditioner
