Suggest Remedy For Difficulty In Ejaculation When Diagnosed With Mild Depression

I am 58 years male and taking antidepressant medicines since last 15 years due to mild depression. Since last two years I am facing very difficulty in ejaculation. from last 20 days Dr. A. P. Patkar XXXXXXX suggested me to take Nexito 20 & Lamitor OD 50 & ativan 1 mg. Please inform my delayed ejaculation problem will slove in future or this problem will continued in future. At present my depression is normal but sleep is not satisfactory. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

SSRI cause Erectile Dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
See these all anti depressants (SSRI) whether it's Flunil or Nexito are known to cause Erectile Dysfunction.
However in most cases these SSRI induced Erectile Dysfunction is reversible.
But we should also make efforts to rule out the various other causes of Erectile Dysfunction. The most common are Diabetes, Psychological.
So you should get a fasting blood sugar and Color Doppler penile vessels done to rule out any evidence of any such cause of Erectile Dysfunction.
If these tests are normal you have two options. First one is to quit these SSRI with the help of your doctor and switch to another class of Anti depressants like Tricyclic Antidepressants preferably Amitryptilline.
Second option of to use medicines for Erectile Dysfunction along with the SSRI. These medicines include the Famous Viagra that is the Sildenafil.

I would like to inform you that i am not diabitic. Erection of penis is satisfactory but main problem is difficulty in ejaculation i. e. delayed ejaculation and some time sperm not ejaculalte with proper efforts. Please suggest me any medicine for normal & comfortable ejaculation. My depression problem is normal with present treatment i.e. nexito 20 mg. & Lamitor OD 50.

Anti depressant induced problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Such kind of problems usually occur due to SSRI (Nexito) only.
In fact both Erectile Dysfunction as well as Ejaculation issues are seen with SSRI's.
No Medicine can help you in case of Ejaculation issues.
Stopping the SSRI and conversion to Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA) is the best solution for you.
No medicines would work otherwise in this problem.
