Question: I get lot of negative thoughts like bad things should happen to people. I also tend to get into depression and think about ending my life. What should I do?

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It seems you are having severe depression with suicidal ideation and feelings of worthlessness (negative thoughts) . Do you have any precipitating factor like bereavement of near relative or loved one or loss of job or financial loss etc.

You need full evaluation by a psychiatrist /mental health specialist before embarking on therapy.
There are many drugs like TCA (tricyclic antidepressant) or SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) to name a few which can help you to tide over the crisis and normalize your thought process.
