Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Cramps And Sleep Disorder While On Zoloft

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Dec 2015
Question: I have woken up from sleeping at night 4 times within the last 8 days with dull, broad, lower abdominal cramping that lasts about 15 minutes. It feels a lot like severe menstrual cramps, but I'm in the middle of my birth control pack and very, very rarely get cramps, let alone a period due to my birth control. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Things in my diet have not changed, but I did start taking a pro biotic in the morning a few weeks ago. I've been on zoloft for almost a month. Not sure what could be causing it.

Brief Answer:
Bladder infection can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

To find out the reason of your symptoms, some diagnostic is necessary. Otherwise, we can just suspect some reasons.

Usually lower abdominal pain is caused by urinary tract infection (bladder infection). You may also have frequent urinating or burning while urinating. Back pain or fever can also appear.
Other possible symptoms are ovaries cyst, ovaries inflammation or even gastrointestinal infection.

I suggest you to have some tests. Please start with urine analysis, blood work and abdominal ultrasound. You should also consult gynecologist and have transvaginal ultrasound.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
