Question: Hi , i am having herendous night sweats . My psyciatrist has reduced my serequel dose from 100 mg to 75 mg and then to 50 mg and then to 25 mg each nite . The idea is to see if the serequel is causing the sweats . I have had a whole range of blood tests and a 24 hr urine test which some have come back clear . I am also not sleeping and take 1.5 mogodon each nite
But only sleep for 2 hours . Should i follow this or not i also take 2.5 lexapro in the mornings and 5 mg valuim as a prn. Please advise .........thanks

Brief Answer:
Increase dose of mogodon or take valium regularly

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

I can understand your concern.

1.5 mg dose of mogodon is very low. At least 5 mg of dose is required.
Other option is taking Valium 5 mg daily. If no improvement with 5 mg, increasing the dose up to 10 mg will be helpful.

Both mogodon and valium are benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepine group of drugs have high chances of tolerance and dependence. It should be used always under doctor's supervision.

I recommend increasing dose of either and later on shift to only one benzodiazepine. Discuss recommendations to your doctor and change the treatment.

If feasible upload all reports for review.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr Chintan Solanki.
